Yes, that’s snow!

April 2. The weather-folk were right: Snow before noon in Cornelius. It’s fun and it’s April, but don’t pull out the sled. The National Weather Service is calling for light rain between noon and 2-ish. It’ll be cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 52.

The weather service says look for patchy frost after 2 am. Otherwise, mostly clear, with a low around 36 degrees. If you planted tomatoes over the weekend, keep an eye out for patchy frost.

This being the Piedmont region of North Carolina, the National Weather Service says temperatures in Cornelius will reach 67 tomorrow.
