Black History Month Celebration
2 pm. History Presentation by Community Leaders Bee Jay Caldwell & Varona Wynn. The program is free to attend. Attendees should pre-register by phone at 980-314-1127. All ages are welcome to join. Open Track Nights on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays
6-8 pm. James Hoyt Wilhelm Park’s 1/4-mile walking track will be lighted on Mondays and Bailey Road Park’s regulation track will be lighted on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Both open to the public.

History Forum: Kendrick K. Kelley Presentations
7-9 pm. Ella Nagy-Benson, Cecelia Miller and Sophie Danish will share findings from their thesis research. This is a hybrid event. Attend in-person or via Zoom. Watson Life Sciences Building Classroom-157 Green, Davidson College.
Artist Series: Hiplet Ballerinas
7:30 PM – 9:30 pm. The Chicago based Hiplet Ballerinas is an innovative dance troupe that infuses classical pointe with African, Latin, hip-hop, and urban dance styles that are rooted in communities of color. The company was specifically designed to make ballet accessible for all, incorporating classical techniques with popular songs and mixing in rhythms like African drumming and beat boxing. Tickets are free for Davidson Students, $17 for Davidson Faculty, staff, seniors, and military; $22 for the general public, and $12 for non-Davidson students. Tickets can be purchased at the Union Ticket Office. Proof of COVID vaccination is required to attend.
Open to all teens in our area, the LKN Teen Council meets virtually on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month at 6:30 p.m.

Reading/Visiting McGee Professor Jennine Capó Crucet
7-8 pm. Jennine Capó Crucet is the author of the novel “Make Your Home Among Strangers” (New York Times Book Review Editor’s Choice book, 2016 International Latino Book Award). Open to the public.
