Weekly Calendar: Remembering Oct. 7 attack, Chamber Business Expo, motorsports celebration and more

Monday, Oct. 7

Memorial event

7-8 pm | Oct. 7.  Come together in solidarity with Jewish people in Israel and around the world, marking the one year anniversary of the Oct. 7 Hamas attack. This is an opportunity to grieve together and support one another. Temple Kol Tikvah, 605 South St, Davidson.

Remembrance

6 pm | Oct. 7. Space to grieve, pray and find hope together. Hosted by the Davidson College Jewish Student Union and the Davidson College Chaplains’ Office.  Chambers Lawn, Davidson College.

Lake Norman Chamber – Business Expo

8 am – 5 pm | Oct. 8. Check out local businesses and services. Huntersville Recreation Center, 11836 Verhoeff Dr., Huntersville.

Organ at Davidson

7 pm | Oct. 8. Filippa Duke from Edenton Street UMC of Raleigh. This recital is free in-person and onlineDavidson College Presbyterian Church, 100 N. Main St., Davidson.

2024 Mooresville Motorsports Celebration

5-8 pm | Oct. 8. The North Carolina Auto Racing Hall of Fame’s induction of their two newest members into the prestigious Walk of Fame. Shirley “Cha Cha” Muldowney and Elliot Forbes Robinson at 5:30 pm. The event will include local food trucks and breweries, activities such as a Pit Stop Challenge, RC Racing and music. A classic car show will take place on Main Street from 4-8 pm. Downtown Mooresville.

Shred Event
