2024 Polar Plunge & Chili Cook Off

11 am | Jan. 20. Take the plunge or just come enjoy the atmosphere with your family at the Lake Norman YMCA waterfront. Music, s’mores by the fire, chili cook-off for the tasting,coffee and a hot chocolate truck. Participate as an individual or join as a team. Free crafts, games, a mini-plunge for kids. Raptor Recess

10 am – 3 pm | Jan. 20. Traverse the Raptor Trail and let the landscape come alive with classic yard games strategically placed along the route, encouraging friendly competition and creating moments of shared joy for visitors of all ages. For those seeking a more immersive experience, raptor-themed games offer a unique opportunity to connect with the natural world while having fun. Engage in challenges inspired by the incredible abilities of these feathered ambassadors, and gain a deeper appreciation for their role in our ecosystem. Chili Cook-off: Bring the Heat!

Guests will need to book ice skating reservations in advance to ensure a skating time slot. Walk-ups are also welcome, but we cannot guarantee you will be able to skate at that time. Get your tickets here.
