Traditional Series: Phil Wiggins and the Chesapeake Sheiks
7:30 – 9 pm | April 25. Phil Wiggins, broadly acknowledged as the greatest blues harmonica player of our time, is the second of our NEA Folk Heritage Fellows to perform on this series. 7:30 PM – 9 pm | April 26. The North Carolina Baroque Orchestra joins the Chorale, Chamber Singers and Choral Arts Society Davidson to present one of Johann Sebastian Bach’s greatest and uplifting vocal works, the Magnificat in D Major. Free and open to the public. Tickets are not required. Davidson College Presbyterian Church Sanctuary, Davidson.

10 am to 5 pm | April 29. Art, live music and food. Davidson’s juried art festival features booths filled with top-quality art works from artists throughout the region. Downtown Davidson.
10 am – 4 pm | April 29. Presented by the Davidson-Cornelius Child Development Center and centered on the Town Green, the walking tour will feature unique architectural styles, interior design, historical landmarks and local artists. Adult admission is $40, children 2-12 are $15 with advance purchase.

Mamaloshen – Discussion on Yiddish Culture and Music

9 am | Mondays, Jan. 9 – May 8. Avid birders provide a guided walk to identify birds throughout Wing Haven Garden & Bird Sanctuary and SEED Wildlife & Children’s Garden. The 3.5 acre open space is conducive to many local and migratory songbirds. The walk is slow paced with opportunities to rest on benches and be still for the birds. This free class is designed for senior adults to improve flexibility, breath, balance, mobility, and fluidity by exploring various elements of ballet, jazz, modern, and improvisation.
