Clean and Green: A community-wide cleanup
9 am – noon | April 26. Volunteers will meet at Safe Harbor Kings Point Marina for a brief meeting and then will be assigned a cleanup site in town. Following trash pick up, groups will reconvene at the marina for lunch and for a “weigh-in” of the trash collected from the day. All ages are welcome; anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Registration is encouraged. Supplies and lunch provided. The North Carolina Wildlife Federation will be donating 1 tree for every 25 pounds of trash collected, and Lake Norman Wildlife Conservationists will be matching their donation.
