Tuesday, April 15

Sunset Cove Community Meeting

6-7 pm | April 15. The public is invite to hear about and comment on the project. Larry Griffing Jr. is seeking approval to amend the zoning on approximately 8.6 acres of property at 18311 and 18323 Nantz Road. The proposed rezoning includes converting two existing single-family homes into event space for weddings and corporate events.  The proposal will also include a 6,000 square foot event tent space. Cornelius Town Hall, Catawba Avenue.

I Laugh at Myself: An Evening with Justin Furstenfeld of Blue October

8 pm | April 17. Justin Furstenfeld, lead singer and creative visionary of Blue October, is renowned for being one of the most charismatic and uplifting artists of our time. This show is for ages 16+ as it does contain adult topics. Tickets $47-$68. Cain Center for the Arts, Catawba Avenue.

Friday, April 18

Max Weinberg’s Jukebox

7:30 pm | April 18. Max Weinberg is most widely known as the longtime drummer for Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band and as the bandleader for Conan O’Brien on Late Night with Conan O’Brien and The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien. A truly interactive experience, Weinberg invites the audience to create the set list, in real time, that he and his crack four-piece group will play that night. Tickets start at $55. Cain Center for the Arts, Catawba Avenue.

Swift Nation

8 pm | April 18. Unofficial Taylor Sing-along tribute show. Tickets $20-$35. BoatYard Lake Norman, 18418 Statesville Rd., Cornelius.

Live Under the Oaks

6-8 pm | April 18. Dani Kerr. No coolers are allowed. A bar will be onsite in the designated area provided by Red Rocks for beverage needs. Bring your own lawn chairs and blankets to sit on. The Plaza, Birkdale Village, Huntersville.

Davidson Farmers Market

9 am – noon | April 19. Prime season starts today. Produce, flowers, meat and baked goods. 120 S. Main St., downtown Davidson.

Bunny Bowl

Train the Brain with Laughter and Science

10 am | April 23. This laughter-filled business workshop presented by Over The Counter Improv will help with self-confidence, humor and quick thinking skills for seniors ( 55+). By combining science, improv, creativity and humor together, everyone leaves the event with exercises and takeaways that can be practiced at home instantly. Free. Spring Trails and Cottontails

11 am – 3 pm | April 20. A festive day of exploration, play and sweet treats. Stroll scenic trails, see and meet real bunnies, play lawn games and participate in Easter crafts. Purchases from the cafe, dessert vendors and face painter are not included in admission. Registration required. Adults $19; seniors (age 60) $16; children 2-12 years $10; infants under 2 free.
