Boos and Brews is a play festival of 10-minute plays with a Halloween theme that will be performed Oct. 27-29.

Oct. 25
Artist talk with Sabine Gruffat
4:30 – 5:30 pm Oct. 25 | Sabine Gruffat is a digital media artist and award-winning filmmaker. Davidson College, Visual Arts Center VAC-117 Semans Lecture Hall.
Environmental Justice Study outreach session

Noon | Oct. 26. The Town of Davidson’s inaugural Commissioner Chat at Homewood Suites,125 Harbour Place Drive, Davidson. All those who live, work and play in Davidson are invited to attend and discuss the town’s approach to pedestrian safety and learn about the town’s Vision Zero strategy.

6th Annual Boos & Brews Play Festival
8 pm | Oct. 27-29. 10-minute plays with the theme of Halloween, ghost/spirit-oriented (comedy or drama). $15. The Actor’s Lab, 20700 N. Main Street, Suite 112, Cornelius.
Oct. 28
5 pm | Oct. 28.Davidson’s retailers and other participants will be handing out treats along Main Street, starting at town hall and going down to (and including) Depot Street. Marchers may start lining up at 4:45 pm.Regular Halloween trick-or-treating around town will still take place on Oct. 31.
Downtown Mooresville Candy Grab
3-5 pm | Oct. 28. Kids and adults can dress up and visit downtown businesses that are handing out candy.
Oct. 28. 5-8 pm music by Sara Kelly; 6-8 pm trick-or-treating for children; 9 pm-1 am (adults only) music by DJ Menson. Overflow, 137 Mecklynn Rd., Mooresville.

10 am – 6pm Friday and Saturday; noon – 4 pm Sunday. | Six studios and neighborhood sites on the Brawley School Road peninsula will be opening their doors so attendees can explore the artists’ work environment, meet visiting artists and purchase wares. Click here for the map of locations.
Oct. 29
5:30-10:30 pm | Oct. 29. The Halloween Treat Trail is a free trick-or-treating event for children 12 and younger. Local businesses hand out nut-free, prepackaged candy to kids in their silly or scary costumes. Families can also enjoy games and activities following the trail, as well as a spook-tacular photo area. The town will be showing a Halloween-themed movie at sunset. Trick or Treating at Birkdale Village
10 am-noon | Oct. 29. Come dressed in your costumes and trick or treat at Birkdale Village. Check in at Concierge to grab a map of participating restaurants and retailers.
2-5 pm | Oct. 29. A celebration of National Coming Out Day on the Davidson Town Green. Enjoy music by Eddie Kennedy. Summit Coffee and Carrburritos will be there along with affirming faith communities, Davidson Lifeline, PFLAG, and other businesses and community organizations. The event is being organized by Lake Norman Families Allies Queers (LKN FAQ), an evolving community project dedicated to creating safe spaces for LGBTQIA+ youth.
11 am – 1 pm Oct. 29. This is a free event open to kids 12 and younger with adult supervision. Face painters and balloon artist. Dress in your Halloween best and Trick-or-Treat at Regency Village, 7725 Regency Park Drive, Huntersville.
Unity in Community large group meeting
10 am- noon |Oct. 29. Race and Identity: an Intergenerational Conversation. The speaker will be Ridgely Chapman, founder and CEO of Global Minds United. Unity in Community is a diverse, community-based nonprofit organization that strives to achieve racial equity in Lake Norman through small and large group engagement, education and activism. 1-6 pm | Oct. 29. one-day event celebrating the harvest season, cut flowers and hemp through agritourism on our family farm, accompanied by the unique crafts and local arts community, local food and craft beer, with activities and fun for the family. Cosmic Charlie – High Energy Grateful Dead
