Evening Coffee Chat

6-7 pm | Oct. 26. Cornelius’ Police and Fire Chiefs will deliver an update on public safety, and there will be plenty of time to take questions and mingle with town staff and elected officials. Barley Market, 20052 Zion Ave., Cornelius.

Jim Messina

7 pm | Oct. 17. Jim Messina’s legacy of musical genius spans five decades, multiple super groups (including Loggins & Messina, Poco, and Buffalo Springfield), a vibrant solo career, and scores of producing and engineering credits. Tickets: $55-75. Cain Center for the Arts, Catawba Avenue.

LaLaCaboosa

6-9 pm | Oct. 17. Heads Carolina. Grab your lawn chairs/blankets and enjoy an evening of live music. A food truck and beverage vendor will be onsite with food and drinks for purchase. Veterans Park at Main & Maxwell, 201 Huntersville-Concord Rd., Huntersville.

NC Music all of Fame Induction Ceremony

6-10 pm | Oct. 17. North Carolina Music Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, presented by Visit Mooresville, takes place to honor music legends with roots in North Carolina. Martin Sexton Abbey Road Show

Live Under The Oaks

6-8 pm | Oct. 18. Nick Prestia Duo. No coolers are allowed on property. A bar will be onsite in the designated area provided by Red Rocks for beverage needs. Bring lawn chairs and blankets to sit on. Seating space may be limited. The Plaza, Birkdale Village, Huntersville.

Movie in the Park

7:30-9:30 pm | Oct. 18. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs for an evening under the stars and in front of a big screen. Open to the public, free of charge. Veterans’ Park – Downtown Huntersville.

Bailey’s Glen Artists Showcase

HEARTS Catawba Nation

Owl-o-ween

10 am | Oct. 19. Get your costume on and come out for a hootin’ good time at Owl-O-Ween, a spooktacular event at the Carolina Raptor Center combines the enchantment of owls with the thrill of Halloween. Purchasing timed entry tickets in advance is highly recommended due to limited capacity. Children under 3, free; ages 3-12, $13; ages 13-22, $15; ages 23-65, $17; seniors, military, teachers, $15. Taste of Davidson 

5-10 pm | Oct. 19. Celebrate the flavors of Davidson’s food and beverages. There is no cost for admission, and local restaurants will offer samples of their most popular menu items for a small fee. The event will also feature live music by Envision. Jetton Street between Clean Juice and Mine by Sandy will be blocked off to accommodate the event, but there is plenty of public parking at the Circles @ 30 for festival goers.

Moonlight Masquerade

8 pm – midnight | Oct. 19. Proceeds benefit Lake Norman Humane. $55. Light hors d’oeuvres, DJ/dancing, photo booth, silent auction; drinks not included. Formal attire with mask; 21 and older. Overflow, 137 Mecklynn Rd., Mooresville.

Lights, Camera, Birkdale

7:30 pm | Oct. 19. “Hocus Pocus.” Seating is first come, first serve. Attendees are encouraged to bring additional blankets & chairs. No outside food or beverage is permitted, but takeout from our onsite restaurants is encouraged. The Plaza, Birkdale Village, Huntersville.

Hurricane relief benefit concert

5-8 pm | Oct. 19. The Vet-Crows are donating their fee and tips to benefit the long-terms needs of our mountain communities. Performing at Lost Worlds Brewery biergarten, Cornelius.

Sunday, Oct. 20

Music at St. Alban’s

3 pm | Oct. 20. Charlton Singleton Jazz Ensemble. $21.40 adults, $16.30 seniors, youth and students free, but must have ticket. St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, 301 Caldwell Lane, Davidson.
