Friday, May 3

Mark & Maggie O’Connor’s Life After Life

7:30 pm | May 3. Mark and Maggie O’Connor return to Cain Center for the Arts for a special performance in support of their new album. Tickets $35-$55. Cain Center for the Arts, Cornelius.

Live Under The Oaks

6-8 pm | May 3. Ryan Winters. Unwind with live musical performance. No coolers are allowed on property. A bar will be onsite in the designated area provided by Red Rocks for beverage needs. Bring lawn chairs and blankets to sit on. Seating space may be limited. The Plaza, Birkdale Village, Huntersville.

Davidson’s annual Town Day

10d am – 3 pm | May 4. Activities, performers, food vendors, fellowship and a time to support local non-profits. Town Green in downtown Davidson.

Annual Lake Norman Bike Expo

10 am – noon | May 4.  In conjunction with Davidson’s Town Day event, learn more about area bike and electric-bike shops, nonprofit advocacy groups, the Town of Cornelius’ “Heads Up” safety campaign, Davidson’s Vision Zero efforts, and local greenways. Bring your bike and join a guided 10-mile community ride or 2-mile family bike ride. Town Green in downtown Davidson.

Hello Huntersville Music & Arts Festival

1-6 pm | May 5. Music and art festival at Veterans Park, 201 Huntersville-Concord Rd., downtown Huntersville.

Historic Tour of the Store

1-2:15 pm and 3-4 pm | May 5. Step back in time to 1779 and explore the Hugh Torance House and Store and grounds.  The historic Hugh Torance House and Store is the oldest-standing store in NC and one of Mecklenburg County’s few surviving 18th-century structures. The site is adjacent to Cedar Grove, the National Register brick 1831 Greek Revival home of James Torrance, son of Hugh and Isabella Torance. This is a free tour but donations are most welcome. Hugh Torance House and Store, 8231 Gilead Rd., Huntersville.

Holocaust Remembrance Day

7 pm | May 5. Remember and honor the Holocaust with Hal Bankirer, retired US Army colonel. Hear one family’s journey into and through the Holocaust to America. Also available on Zoom. Register to attend or for Zoom link. Temple Kol Tikvah, 605 South St, Davidson.
