On the 22nd anniversary of the 2001 attacks, the magnitude of loss is revealed by this solemn formation of flags. Posted in perfect rows and columns, the Stars and Stripes will fly in tribute to the victims of 9/11. Flags will be posted at Veterans Park and the Town Center Lawn in downtown Huntersville for all to pause and remember.

International Vulture Awareness Day

Attend one or both days to take a step back in time at Historic Rural Hill for the Battle of Charlotte, one of the most important battles in the Southern Campaign of the American Revolution. Skilled reenactors will bring the battle to life, showcasing the tactics, weapons and strategies used by the soldiers who fought for American independence. The event will feature activities and demonstrations, including living history, camp life, civilian life and more. Fee applies; tickets required. Historic Rural Hill, 4431 Neck Rd., Huntersville.
