July 12. WBTV meteorologist Al Conklin will be the Official Weatherman for Big Day at the Lake on July 24 when 75 kids from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Carolinas will come to Lake Norman for a day of fun on the water.

They’ll be hosted by more than 50 Boat Hosts from all around the lake.

“The air will be hot and muggy, so everyone jump in and cool off…the water is just fine!” Conklin said.

Big Brothers Big Sisters provides at-risk children with professionally supported mentors that change their lives for the better. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Carolinas serves more than 1,500 youth each year, ages 5-18, in Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, and York counties.

Big Day at the Lake has supported Big Brothers Big Sisters for 17 years.
