VLN photo contest first place winner by David Weber

Sept. 1. A golden sunset photograph by David Weber is the winner of this year’s Visit Lake Norman photo contest. The winning photo was selected from a variety of pictures that embodied the best of Lake Norman.

Second place was awarded to Julie Elliott for her sailboat row photo. Third place winner was Gregory Knopp with his single sailboat sunset shot.

More than 175 images were submitted.

Along with being featured in the Official Lake Norman Visitor’s Guide, Weber will receive a $200 VISA gift card and a Lake Norman-branded sweatshirt. Elliott will receive a $100 VISA gift card and Lake Norman-branded shirt; Knopp will receive a $50 VISA gift card and Lake Norman-branded hat.
