Nov. 5. Major General James F. Barnette, a command pilot with more than 18,000 flying hours including more than 800 are combat flying hours, will be the keynote speaker at the Veterans Day program Nov. 11 at the Veterans Monument at Rotary Plaza next to Town Hall.

The Town of Cornelius and American Legion Post 86 honor military veterans and those currently serving in our Armed Forces every year with a Veterans Day program at 11 am followed by light refreshments.

Town Hall will be closed, but waste collection will take place as usual.
