Unique music festival is Friday under the stars

The Stargazer Music Festival is Nov. 17

Nov. 13. This Friday, Nov. 17, brings a unique opportunity to experience live music under the shooting stars. The third iteration of Stargazer Music Festival will showcase artists from Montana, New York, Virginia and the Carolinas—All performing under the backdrop of the Leonids Meteor Shower at its peak.

Genres include funk, jazz R&B and more. Charlotte New Music founder Elizabeth Kowalski describes it as “a night of stargazing accompanied by interstellar grooves to amplify the cosmic exploration experience.” Click here for the mainstage lineup.

Located on 20 acres of land at Hodges Family Farm the festival blasts off at 6 pm until 2 am. Join over 5,000 people brought together to connect through music, art and science.

The Star Field is a red light only zone which reduces time your eyes need to adjust from light to dark and allows the best viewing of the night sky.

Zone out

The different zones within the grounds each offer unique experiences like astrology readings and a silent disco. There will also be an artists market, food trucks and craft beer vendors on site. The Kids Zone offers educational workshops, games and arts and crafts. Click here for a map of the grounds.

Make your way up to the red light only Star Field for the main attraction. Find a spot under the stars and enjoy live performances in a natural setting. PARI will provide high-powered telescopes and astronomy binoculars and also have meteorites on display.
