April 26. Two Cornelius artists are among the standouts in the Mooresville Arts 46th Anniversary SpringFest art show which features 70 artists more than 120 entries.
Helen Langhorne won a Judge’s Choice award for her piece, Catch of the Day, while Amy Pennell-Myers won First Place for Hip Hop Rhapsody. Both artists live in Cornelius.
Judge Deb Koo said she was excited to see a variety of media, subject matter, styles and sizes. “I was humbled by the talent I saw, and I feel I need to go to my studio and work harder,” she said.
SpringFest is open at the Mooresville Arts Gallery now through May 30.
