Feb. 4. At their Monday Feb. 3 meeting, the Cornelius Town Board recognized Chris Kolkhorst who has served on the town Parks & Recreation Commission since 2016, including serving as its Chair since 2022. He stepped down from the commission this year pursuant to town term limits.

“Throughout his tenure, Chris also served on the Park Department’s Programs, Fees & Facilities, Regional Partnerships, and Strategic Planning & Long-Range Finance committees” said Town Parks Director Troy Fitzsimmons. “He rarely ever missed a meeting and we appreciate the great job he did,” Fitzsimmons said.
