Oct. 6. The Lake Norman Tennis Association is looking to help beginners with a new program called Try Tennis. The cost is $40 and includes six hours of tennis instruction, a free racket and t-shirt.

The next Try Tennis session for adults (18+) is at Bailey Road Park on 4 consecutive Saturdays: Oct. 16 to Nov. 6 from 8 am to 9:30 am.

Try Play

The association is also offering Try Play sessions as a follow up to Try Tennis or for a person that does not have a USTA rating or who is rated 2.5 and below. This program is a play-to-learn session for adult beginners that want to build confidence in their newly learned tennis skills.

Sessions are at Bailey Road Park on Tuesdays Oct. 19 to Nov. 9 from 9:30 am to 11 am. The cost is $65 and includes six hours of instruction.
