UPDATE. Catawba Avenue has reopened in time for the afternoon commute home. Police said the road was closed because of a large hydraulic oil spill caused by a Republic trash truck. It occurred near Meridian and Mulberry streets. Police redirected traffic to Hwy. 21 and Main Street at the time. There were no injuries, according to police.
