Splash park has a name and $110,000 so far
Aug. 13. The Lake Norman Kiwanis Club has $110,000 in cash and pledges toward the new $150,000 splash park under way in Smithville. Lowe’s Cos. The annual LKN Kiwanis Club golf tournament will be held Aug. 17 at the Cowans Ford Golf Club in Stanley. Proceeds from this event, the club’s largest fundraising event of the year, will go towards the Smithville Splash Park and other local children’s charities. Peninsula Community Foundation announces gifts
July 14. The Peninsula Community Foundation (PCF) has given donations to three local North Mecklenburg charities. Lake Norman Kiwanis received a $10,000 check towards the new splash park in Smithville.
