Significant police presence does not affect public safety
April 26. A significant police presence off West Catawba does not affect public safety, according to one officer on the scene. First responders from Cornelius, Davidson and Huntersville were staged in the Magnolia Plaza Shopping Center parking lot mid-afternoon.
Cornelius 911 not affected by intermittent outages at CMPD
April 22. The 911 line in Cornelius is not affected by outages at Charlotte Mecklenburg Police communications which has had intermittent technical issues today. Cornelius has its own system, providing a higher level of service. Residents should not hesitate to dial 911 in the event of an emergency.
