May 3. The Symetra Tour returns to  River Run Country Club in Davidson May 14-16 for the  tenth  annual  Symetra Classic. In 2019, it was the scene of Leona Maguire’s second win of 2019 on her way to the LPGA Tour.

With a total purse of $175,000, 144 players will compete in a  54-hole stroke-play format. The winner’s share for the event is $26,250.

Defending champ  Peiyun Chien  (Pingtung, Chinese Taipei) is among the competitors.

The Symetra Tour, the official qualifying tour of the LPGA, helps prepare the world’s best young women professional golfers for a successful career. Former Symetra Tour players have won a total of 445 LPGA titles.
