Starting Feb. 24, CATS Micro will take you point to point

Jan. 29. CATS Micro, a shared-ride service from one point to another in Cornelius, Davidson and Huntersville, launches Feb. 24.

A trip on CATS Micro will be the same price as a bus fare or light rail trip: $2.20 per adult. There are no price fluctuations for rush hour, unlike Uber and Lyft.

Quotable

“By introducing on-demand microtransit services, we’re providing our residents with flexible and convenient transportation solutions that seamlessly integrate with our existing transit network and better connect the community.”

—Elizabeth Presutti, CATS chief administrative officer

Schedule

CATS Micro will be available between 6 am and 7 pm on weekdays and 7 am and 7 pm on weekends.

How to

The CATS Micro zone serves areas north of I-485, including the towns of Huntersville, Davidson, and Cornelius. The CATS-Pass app can be download at the Apple store or the Google Play store. Use our Trip Planner to find out if your trip is within the CATS Micro service area.

You can also book by calling 704-336-7433.

CATS Micro will be explained at a public meeting Feb. 5 from 6 pm to 8 pm in the community room at Cornelius Town Hall.
