July 26. The town will  celebrate the end of summer and kick off the 2022-23 school year with a fun family event.

The gates for the Back to School Bash at Robbins Park open at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, with:

• Face painting
• Corn hole and other yard games
• Crafts and activities
• Glow sticks
• Appearances by Cornelius PD and Fire Departments

“Sing 2,” the edited version, will be shown on a blimp screen beginning about 8:15 pm, weather permitting.

Bring your lawn chairs or blankets.  Coolers and picnic baskets are welcome. No glass bottles or containers, no tobacco products, smoking, e-cigs, or vaping, and no pets.
