June 21. A sinkhole in the Westmoreland development has been stabilized, but a small portion of Chandler’s Landing remains closed.

There are roads around the closure so it isn’t affecting travel.

Repaving has not been completed because of the rain. “Once we get a dry day, we will pave it,” said Tyler Beardsley, deputy town manager.

The sinkhole was reported Tuesday morning. While the opening was about twice the size of a basketball, it was several feet wide and several feet deep under the road surface.
