Oct. 13. On Monday, Oct.17, crews will close the section of South Main Street between Mullen Street and Huntersville-Concord Road.

Work will begin to re-connect businesses to the new waterline, install a storm drainage system, and replace the sidewalk/curb/gutter/asphalt in front of the businesses.

This construction is anticipated to last 21 days, weather permitting, and will complete all major work items on South Main Street. There will be a few minor touch-up items to complete after this work is done, but the goal is to complete all work in front of the businesses during this closure.

The entire road section will be closed.

Town officials have asked the contractor to provide front sidewalk access whenever it’s possible.
