The 50th anniversary of Earth Day ​will be celebrated with a family​-​oriented, educational​ and ​interactive event​ from 10​ ​am​ to 3​ ​pm ​April 25 ​at First Ward Park in Charlotte.​ The​ inspirational​ ​and enlightening event​, which is produced by OMIMEO Mime Theatre, will ​include ​performers, artists, speakers, activities, educational information and an “earth passport” for children​.​​
