Trick-or-treaters must register.

Sept. 23. Cornelius Parks & Recreation will host the 2nd Annual Halloween Treat Trail on Saturday, Oct. 29 at Bailey Road Park.

Designed for children up to age 12 and their families, participants should dress up in their costumes to collect pre-packaged candy from local businesses along the trail. Trick-or-treaters must register.

Other activities

New to the 5:30-10 pm event this year will be a tractor-pulled hayride and showing of the movie “Hotel Transylvania” at dusk, around 7:30 pm.

The Halloween Treat Trail will also feature a variety of crafts and activities, a spook-tacular photo area and games, Concessions will also be available for purchase.

How to register to trick-or-treat

Though the event is free to attend, all children must register in advance for trick-or-treating, because space is limited. When registering, choose one of the available 30-minute time slots: 5:30-6 pm, 6-6:30 pm, 6:30-7 pm or 7-7:30 pm. Register online or  www.cornelius.org/pr or call 704-892-6031.
