Jan. 9. It’s time to prepare for spring youth sports: Registration is open.

Here are offerings through the Cornelius Parks and Recreation Department:

Baseball/Softball/T-Ball: Register with Lake Norman Little League through Feb.18. Save $25 with an Early Bird discount through Jan. 10.

Soccer: Register with Charlotte Independence Soccer Club through Feb. 15.

Lacrosse: Register for spring with Lake Norman Outlaws through Feb.15. Can’t wait till spring? Assist the Goal is offering two free clinics in January for girls and boys 1st-8th grade on Saturdays, Jan.14 and 21 from noon-1pm at Smithville Park in Cornelius. Registration for the clinics is free, and all equipment and instruction provided by LKN Outlaws.
