Sept. 26. The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) will host public meetings on the updated design of the Red Line Commuter Rail. The Red Line is a 25-mile commuter rail project to connect the downtowns of Charlotte, Huntersville, Cornelius and Davidson, potentially extending into Mt. Mourne in Mooresville.
There will be a brief presentation at the beginning of the in-person open houses followed by the opportunity to talk one-on-one with project staff. Doors open at 5:30 pm and the presentation starts at 6. The project team will be available for media interviews before 6 p.m. and after the presentation, depending on time and attendance levels.
