May 22. The Ramsey Creek Beach opens Memorial Day weekend. You can start spreading your beach towels at noon Saturday, May 25. Sunday and Memorial Day hours are noon to 6 pm.
Ramsey Creek Beach is a swimming area at Ramsey Creek Park, 18441 Nantz Road. The 46-acre park also has boat ramps and docks, a playground, picnic shelters, nature trails, fishing pier, enclosed dog park and a volleyball court.
After Memorial Day weekend, the beach will be open noon to 6 pm weekends (Saturday and Sunday) only until June 12.
Starting June 12, the beach will open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Operational hours will be noon to 6 pm.
The beach will stay open during the week until Friday, Aug. 23 and then transition to weekends only until Labor Day. The site will shut down Labor Day, Sept. 2 at 6 pm.
Ramsey Creek Beach Fees
Walk-ins ages 6 and younger: Free.
Walk-ins (ages 6 -13): $3.
Walk-ins (ages 14- up): $5
Beach shuttle passengers (holiday weekends only) from Northcross Park and Ride lot, 17126 Northcross Dr., Huntersville: Free
Weekday entry fee per car for county residents: $5.
Weekday entry fee per car for non-county residents: $10.
Weekend entry fee per car for county residents: $10.
Weekend entry fee per car for non-county residents: $15.
Rules and Etiquette
Small personal coolers and water bottles permitted.
No food, drink, or trash shall be permitted within 10 feet of water.
Food and beverages may only be consumed in your personal seating area.
No climbing on lifeguard stands.
No swimming or hanging beyond yellow boundary float.
No diving headfirst into water.
Please reframe from throwing sand or rocks. No digging large, deep holes or mounds.
For your safety, only U.S. Coast Guard approved flotation devices are allowed.
Beach changing is strictly prohibited including young children and infants.
Diaper changing is prohibited.
Public nudity is not allowed in the park or on beach.
