June 10. Numbers of children in our area depend on school lunches for basic nutrition during the school year. After school ends, those meals stop.

Through a program called Portions of Love, the Neighborhood C.A.R.E. Center is partnering again with Angels and Sparrows to fill that gap.

The group needs volunteers to help to pack and deliver lunches Tuesdays through Fridays from June 14 -August 19.

Visit the link here  for the instructions and to sign up. Also note that there are two opportunities each day to volunteer — to deliver the lunches as well as to pack them — and you will need to sign up in both slots if you plan to do both jobs.
