Pioneer Springs Community School lands $150K grant

Feb. 5. Great Schools NC has named Pioneer Springs Community School one of three recipients of its inaugural “School Quality Cohort Award.” This grant, which includes $150,000,  is intended to support academic excellence and, specifically, Pioneer Spring’s goal of growing students. 

Pioneer Springs Executive  Director Dr. Rebecca Friend said they are “eager to realize the beneficial impact this grant will have  for our students, staff, and community.”  

Background

Great Schools North Carolina (GSNC), is a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access  to high-quality public education across North Carolina.

Pioneer Springs Community School is a public K-12 charter school serving more than 500 students on its nature-rich campus in the Historic Croft District of North Charlotte.
