Aug. 9. It’s time to “Pack the Patrol Car” with school supplies for the upcoming school year. From now until Aug. 23, donations of school supplies can be dropped off Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm in the lobby of the Cornelius Police Department.  Cornelius Police will deliver all the donated items Fri. Aug. 26 to the four Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools in Cornelius: Cornelius Elementary, J.V. Washam Elementary, Bailey Middle and Hough High.

Recommended supplies include paper, pencils, pens, crayons, markers, highlighters, erasers, glue sticks, scissors, binders, pocket folders, hand sanitizer, tissues, back packs, and lunch bags.
