We snapped a pic of the Birkdale Christmas tree on Monday, Nov. 8

Nov. 9. It may be in the 70s this week, but Christmas will be here sooner than you think. With 46 days to go, the tree is up in Birkdale, in advance of the official lighting ceremony at 6 pm Nov. 20. There will also be a variety of activities, including face painting, balloon artists, a bounce house and a parade, complete with Santa himself.

New this year is live entertainment starting at the top of each hour from 1 to 5 pm on the performance stage near the central fountain.

Ace and TJ from Grin Kids will emcee the parade which begins at 5:30 pm.

It will start by Banana Republic and end at the stage.

The tree lighting ceremony begins at 6 pm.
