June 21. Where else but Lake Norman do thousands of people flock to a nuclear power plant for an enchanting lakeside concert?

Concerts at nuclear power plants are indeed uncommon, but on Friday, June 30, the EnergyExplorium at McGuire Nuclear Station will host the Charlotte Symphony on their sprawling lawn at the southern end of the lake.

The picnic-worthy will be sight (and sound) to behold: Boaters anchored in the EnergyExplorium’s cove at the southern tip of Lake Norman as top-notch musicians play hits from The Wizard of Oz, Frozen, Encanto and more.

Early arrival is encouraged.
