Jan. 5. North State BBQ in University City is expanding north to open at the Cashion’s station on Statesville Road mid- to late January.
Mike Davis of North State BBQ says the new kitchen will have eight tables inside as well as some outdoor seating. The business is known for its classic NC BBQ, smoked fresh daily, and homemade southern sides and fresh salads.
“We are hiring cooks with breakfast experience,” Davis says. ” We are opening daily at 6 am daily, serving homemade biscuits, fresh cracked eggs and more. We are also hiring customer service staff and other kitchen crew as well.”
The food now offered at Cashion’s will change. “Many of the favorites will stay, but some (soup, chili, etc.) will be replaced by North State BBQ’s offerings,” Davis said in an email.
