June 28. The NC Dept. of Health & Human Services Monday reported 294 new COVID-19 cases statewide for a total of 864 new cases since Friday. There were eight new deaths attributable to the coronavirus over the weekend statewide.

In North Meck (Cornelius, Davidson and Huntersville), there have been no new COVID-19 deaths in 10 days

Hospitalizations are at 368 statewide, a new low so far this year.

Positive testing is at 2.7 percent statewide.

Mecklenburg County

In Mecklenburg County, there were 134 new coronavirus cases reported between Friday and today.. There were no new deaths reported since Thursday of last week.

North Mecklenburg (change from Friday to today)

Cornelius: 2 new cases, 2,893 cumulative; 25 deaths total.

Davidson: 1 new cases, 1,706 cumulative; 15 deaths total.

Huntersville: 11 new cases, 6,104 cumulative; 54 deaths total.
