Cornelius commissioners will hold a public hearing tonight to consider a conditional rezoning for 13 single-family homes at the intersection of Bailey Road and Bailey Springs Drive. Provident Land Services of Charlotte developed the existing Bailey Springs neighborhood in Davidson. This adjacent project is an extension of the existing development within Cornelius. The proposal is for a conservation subdivision with 13 lots on 11.22 acres for a density of 1.16 dwelling units per acre.
Also at Monday’s meeting, the board will consider the adoption of a resolution which calls on the Charlotte Mecklenburg School Board to support neighborhood schools as the first criteria in their Student Placement Guiding Principles. The town board meeting begins at 7 pm, in Town Hall on Catawba Avenue.
