Neighborhood car show benefits The Childrens Home Society

March 10. Remember those old Mickey Rooney movies where he says his dad has a barn, let’s put on a show? Bernie Kunz did that only the barn was the Oakhurst clubhouse parking lot. On March 6 he held a car show and fundraiser for The Children’s Home Society. It brought out lots of residents—and 33 cars. There were vendors and trophies for people’s choice and kids’ choice, not to mention raffle items. All told they raised $1,000 and presented the obligatory giant check to CHS.
