Aug. 2. Cornelius Police and the Parks & Rec Dept. are hosting National Night Out at Bailey Road Park from 6 pm to 8 pm.

It’s a fun way to meet local public safety officers and stand together to promote safety, awareness and neighborhood unity. The weather this evening looks clear and dry.

Cars ‘n’ trucks

First responder vehicles will be on display, as well as kid’s activities, food and local vendors.

Pack the Patrol Car

Cornelius Police will also be collecting school supplies for the annual Pack the Patrol Car event. Items collected will be distributed to students at Cornelius Elementary, J.V. Washam, Bailey Middle and Hough High.

Recommended supplies include paper, pencils, pens, highlighters, notebooks, binders, index cards, tissues, crayons, markers, colored pencils, and backpacks.
