July 27. The Cornelius Police Dept. will host National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 1 at Smithville Park. There will be a variety of things to do, including Dunk-a-Cop, live music and kids’ activities, as well as food and Sunset Slush.

The event, which runs from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, is free to attend.

Bring a school supply to help Cornelius Police “pack the patrol car” with supplies that will be distributed to local schools.
