July 13. By Dave Vieser. North Main Street, the principal connector between downtown Cornelius and Davidson, will be closed to through traffic this weekend, beginning Friday July 16.

North Main will be closed at Walnut Street in Davidson from 6 pm Friday July 16 to 6 am Monday July 19.

Contractors for Charlotte Water will be excavating across North Main Street for the installation of a new water line as part of the Davidson Water Transmission Main Phase III Project.

The remainder of North Main will not be impacted and will still be accessible from Griffith Street, South Street, and Potts Street.
