Jan. 6. Bishop Darryl B. Starnes Sr. of AME Zion Church will be the featured speaker at Martin Luther King Jr. Day observances at Town Hall Jan. 20.

The event, which runs from noon to 1:30 pm, is being put on by the Town of Cornelius Parks & Recreation Department, Torrence Chapel AME Zion Church and the Ausie & Martin Rivens Scholarship Foundation.

This event is free, open to the public, and appropriate for all ages. Lunch will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
