Dec. 6. The five members of the Cornelius Town Board—all men—will be sworn in Monday night at Town Hall. Commissioners are expected to officially say farewell to outgoing board member Bruce Trimbur who is moving out of town. NC Rep. John Bradford will administer the oath to Mayor Chuck Travis and commissioners Jim Duke, Dave Gilroy and Woody Washam. Judge Charlotte Brown Williams will administer the oath to newly elected commissioner Dr. Mike Miltich and incumbent Thurman Ross.

Cornelius Town Commissioners will also consider approving a 1,200 square foot addition to the Lake Norman Chrysler Dodge Jeep on Torrence Chapel Road during the meeting. If approved, the new structure would house the dealership’s wheel alignment operation.

The meeting begins at 7 pm, in Town Hall on Catawba Avenue.
