Jan. 16. As of 8 am about an inch and a half of snow has fallen in Cornelius and precipitation is changing to sleet, then freezing rain mid-morning, according to the National Weather Service.
Today’s high will only reach 31 with windy conditions and daytime ice accumulation of 0.2 to 0.4 of an inch possible. Total daytime snow and sleet accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
