March 2. Love Lake Norman, a non-denominational church that first opened in the Oak Street Mill, will hold its grand opening in The Cain Center for the Arts Sunday, March 5, from 10 am to noon.

In addition to the worship service, which begins at 10 am, the grand opening event includes:

• Face painting
• Ross the Balloon Guy
• Great snacks and apps
• Live music
• Free book giveaway

The Rev. Jerel Law said the new space is the next logical step in the growth of the church.

“We love the Lake Norman area and are excited about the opportunity to lease space from the Cain Center on Sundays,” Law said. “Our goal is to be a great community partner and put our community first.”
