Local LKN-area Little League team wins the 8U NC State Championship

July 15. The Lake Norman Little League 8U Machine Pitch All-Star Baseball Team—The Bolts—won the 8U NC State Little League Championship in Wilson.

The Bolts battled to stay in the tournament, and then the tide changed.

After the second game in the Little League District 3 Tournament, they found themselves in the losers bracket, and then had to win double headers the next three days to stay in it. They ended up doing so and won the District 3 Championship Game over Myers Park.

This earned their spot in the Little League NC State Tournament and played All-Star Teams from the other five Little League Districts in the state and won the Little League 8U NC State Championship.
