Vince Altamura presents check to Community in Christ Preschool Director Sharon Fuller and Board Chair Jill Brooks

July 14. The Peninsula Community Foundation (PCF) has given donations to three local North Mecklenburg charities. Lake Norman Kiwanis received a $10,000 check towards the new splash park in Smithville. The PCF also donated $7,250 for five scholarships to the Lake Norman YMCA-Readers’ Program, and $6,210 for the Community in Christ Preschool. Todd Wiebusch, chairman of the foundation, said it was a “privilege to assist these three excellent programs that are providing great benefit to those in need in our local community.”
