The Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce will host an economic forecast luncheon Feb. 26 at NorthStone Country Club in Huntersville. The presentation will include an outlook from three regional economic development leaders: Vanessa Goeschel, CEcD, Senior Vice President for Marketing and Research at the Charlotte Regional Partnership; Jeff Edge, CEcD, Senior Vice President, Economic Development for the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce; and Ryan McDaniels CEcD, Executive Director of the Lake Norman Economic Development Corporation. The panel will be moderated by Bill Russell, CEO of Lake Norman Chamber of Commerce.
Russell said significant development is already taking place in Huntersville. “Take a ride down Mt Holly-Huntersville Road in Huntersville and you will see the new NUTEC Group’s facility taking shape along with Burkert Fluid Control Systems. I travel that road every day and I am very excited about the impact those new corporations will have on Huntersville and the Lake Norman region,” Russell said.
NUTEC’s facility represents an investment of $19.2 million. Burkert’s new building, a 124,000 square-foot facility, is a $23 million investment, creating 61 new local jobs over the next five years.
The panel will discuss how each organization works to promote the region as well as trends and expectations in store for 2016.
The luncheon, presented by San’s Club in Mooresville, is sponsored by Business Today and WSIC 100.7 FM. While intended for Chamber of Commerce members, it is open to the public. To register visit Lake NormanChamber.org or call the chamber at 704-892-1922. The cost is $20.
